Bandur® Forte SC 600 has two active ingredients; Aclonifen and Flufenacet which belong to HRAC (Herbicide Resistance Action Committee) groups 32 and 15 class of herbicides respectively. Aclonifen is a diphenyl ether bleaching compound. It causes an accumulation of phytoene, which leads to an inhibition of chlorophyll and other photosynthetic components. Affected weeds show bleaching and chlorosis symptoms. Aclonifen has a systemic effect and also inhibits biosynthesis of carotenoids. Flufenacet; belongs to the Chemical Family α-Oxyacetamides and conjugates with acetyl COA and certain sulfhydryl-containing molecules via thiacarbamate sulfoxides which inhibit the long-chain fatty acids during seedling shoot growth stage of the plant, hence affecting weed germination and emergence. Flufenacet has a systemic effect with apoplastic transport and meristem action.
